Ethnography as a Generative Tool for Educational Action
There seems to be a growing emphasis on integrating intervention and activism within educational ethnography research. Anthropology & Education Quarterly has done a special issue on such work. It includes a piece by Bud Mehan that is framed squarely around the design-based research tradition that has also been on the rise (final paper, related public draft).
